I'm a postdoc in philosophy at the Université de Montréal (and more specifically, at CRÉ and GRIN). I just finished my dissertation, entitled "Affect, Representation, and the Ends of Practical Reason", at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In it I argue that taking seriously the idea that affect represents normative properties shows the power of the Guise of the Good thesis.

In general my research explores the relation between ethics, practical reason, the mind, and the nature of normativity. Some of the projects I've recently been working on include an examination of the moral psychology of evil, a defense of the intelligibility motivation for the Guise of the Good, and the relation between good and good-for.
